We go there as often as possible as we live not far away. We love it. Its so laid back and relaxing. How long are you staying for?

hillbilly · 29/04/2013 21:24

When are you going? We are supposed to be going there this weekend weather permitting. Never been before.

half term weekend - just for two nights (VERY fairweather campers)

really happy to hear it's good!

We were there a couple of weekends ago. It was chilly but we had a great time. Its perfect for a weekend stay - tbh we rarely leave the site. We eat, the children play, we eat ... you get the picture. There is lovely countryside around for walks and Whipsnade is nearby.

We too are fairweather campers (dh more so than me or the kids). Are there woods for the kids to explore? Any rope swings? Will def take our kites.

BellaBearisWideAwake · 29/04/2013 21:43

yes, going to whipsnade (we don't actually live very far away and we are members)

I like camping near to home, as we can go home if necessary!

I went with DD last Summer for 2 nights. The second night was a bit windy, feels quite exposed. A really lovely site and the guy drives around checking that everyone is ok.

BellaBear I was next to a family and they lived very close too, and even took their boys home for a afternoon nap!

There are no woods but there is a playground and tennis courts.

BellaBearisWideAwake · 29/04/2013 21:58

OK, we're not as close as that!
