not sure, we would like too but ... we are off to wales the following weekend for a week (in a cottage),and have got some tentative plans to go climbing/walking with some friends at windgather just on a day trip at the bank holiday so will probably end up doing that.

Well I hope the weather is good for you, better than it was in Stockport last Saturday when dd1's birthday party took place!

we are up on a487 near tremadog, quite near golan. yes we need a heatwave.

From reading the reviews, you need to get there early, turn left and keep going into the dunes, take a bucket as the toilets/showers are quite a trek and can get busy. In August the portaloos are full by midday!

Having said that the views across cardigan Bay are meant to be superb and the freedom for the kids to play in the dunes near your tent is great!

Yes we are going next weekend...first camping trip and I cant wait..although need to find DD a proper baby sleeping bag.

only camp shop I know is blacks in the city centre which I dont fancy and one in warrington which I plan on visiting this week.

Also in Lidl atm - folding crates for £1.49, as recommended by MN camping afficionados.

DH bought 6!

Just done a 70 mile round trip in monsoon conditions only to fail to find the 8 man tent anywhere.
The customer service people refused to give me any phone numbers of the stores claiming they are ex-directory (thought I'd save myself a journey if I could know in advance if the store didn't stock it)
Anyone seen them in their nearest store?
