French Campsite query..

I have booked 2 campsites in France and 1 has taken a deposit on-line and the other hasn't. However the 2nd campsite has requested payment in Euros by cheque. I would rather pay on-line as it is simpler than ordering a bank cheque not to mention cheaper. Also I will need to pay the reminder of the balance to the other site 30 days before i go.
What I really want to know has anyone else camped in France with a site direct cutting out the companies like Canvas and what did you do? Thanks

Yes, I have just paid by giving them my credit/debit card number. They had a form for me to write it on but I guess that you could give it over the phone.

Booked direct to the campsite last year, and paid on line - as did we this year. Both the campsites sent a receipt in the post. We saved loads of quids booking direct, definately recommended.

I paid by credit/debit card. Much cheaper booking direct.
