Camping in south of France - any recommendations?

Was thinking of end of August to take advantage of cheaper rates, but it must be hot. I will not - I will not - ever spend another holiday like last year's in bastarding Norfolk when the only reason I didn't slit my wrists in the shower block was because it was raining too much to make the walk there an option worth contemplating.

Want to be near a beach as well as have a well equipped campsite with pool, shop etc.

We have our own tent but am quite fancying the idea of pre-erected.

Please share your gems.

We stayed at Neptune in Agde a few years ago. It is a lovely site and an easy walk to the beach. Although we did drive a few times to save carrying our stuff!

Have a look on uk campsite for ideas as the site finder is very good.

West coast of France is also good. We were there last August and very hot for the 2 weeks.

We started going to France as fed up with British weather and have not regretted it. Have found camping far more relaxing in France and the driving is very easy.

We went to South west of France last end August/beg Sept. Weather was super and the campsites were Parc de la cote sauvage (near Les Mathes - right on the beach but a wild one) - loved this campsite, La Sylvamar, Nr Hossegar - very big, very busy a cycle away from the beach - wasn't mad about this one.
