Sorry had to tell someone :)

6 nights (so far) \link{http://www.les-tours.com\les-tours} Looks fab doesn't it!!! :) Exepnsive for a campsite though, about £180 for 6 nights.

Ferry is £200 (open ticket P&O as we don't know when we are returning - but have £100 of Tesco vouchers off this)

Hopefully dh will be able to take a 2nd week off and we will go to the Loire on te way back.

I am soooooooo excited :)

Looks gorgeous crunchie, I love that area of France.

If you're thinking of the Loire, then would you try \link{http://www.theloirevalley.com/content/default.asp\this campsite} out for me - I'm thinking of it for next year! Grin

P.S How have you managed to get such a cheap ferry? Which crossing do you use?

Lucycat · 03/04/2006 16:30

ahh just checked P&O's website - Dover-Calais i presume?

crunchie · 03/04/2006 17:24

yep, Dover - Calais. P&O ferries, 7.55 crossing I think.

Have you ever thought of using the tunnel? or are you a ferry family?! Grin

Blandmum · 03/04/2006 17:30

We use the tunnel, as none of us have good sea legs Envy is what my face looks like on the boat! Grin

Lucycat · 03/04/2006 17:37

mmm me too mb! we once crossed on the Seacat and I felt ill before we'd left the harbour! The captain informed us that there was a strong swell but he'd 'do his best to get us back to Blighty' not reassuring!!

I am ok if I can lie down for the whole journey though!

I like the ferry. We go on an early morning crossing, go to the 'posh' restaurant and have a huge breakfast. Good veiws/silver service, peaceful (bar our kids!) and a great way to start the holiday.

We have done tunnel too, but I find it less relaxing as you cann't strech your legs and get fresh air
