There are people camping in tents in this weather! Are they Mumsnetters?

I am sitting in my cosy Motorhome and was amazed to see people setting up tents today! I do hope they have some form of heating as it is very cold and raining hard here at the moment.

Are any of you camping this half-term? This site is totally full.

DS went bivouaking in the woods last week end! It was jeffing freezing!

Where are you millaways? We're off out in the motor home today.

We are just back home now, but had 2 nights in Devizes. The site is lovely and you can walk along the towpath past the 20+ locks up Calne hill.

We've just come back from the Lakes and there were some brave folk in tents! It chucked down all week!

Can you recommend a good site for the lakes? I have never been so it i on my to-do list.

We were at the Haven Park on their touring field. Doesn't suit everyone but it's ideal this time of year when the dc can't just play outside! And we could go out and about in the Lakes- if it stopped raining for longer than 10 minutes.

We were up in Northumberland! Stunning.....but freezing!!!

Ooh, another place I need to try! We only got the M'home this year but really need a year of local short breaks until DS (hopefully) goes to Uni next year and we can adventure further up the country and stay away for longer.

However, I really think that is it for this year as we have a wedding to sort (DD) for Christmas now. :)

My DS went camping with the scouts this weekend , said he had a great time !
