October half term

Well, now we have our lovely folding caravan and have finally worked out how to put up the awning, along with having success in getting the underfloor heating to work (whit whoo!), we're thinking of taking it away for half term.

Any suggestions of somewhere to go?

I'm thinking we'll need somewhere with some indoor things in case the weather is really awful. Are there any not-quite-Centerparcs type places around? Am liking the idea of staying somewhere foresty, maybe hiring bikes and pootling about with occasional coffee breaks and maybe a nice swimming pool.

Have just looked at Kelling Heath in Norfolk which I thought looked promising- anyone been there? £109 for a week for all of us! Or any other recommendations?

Oh, and in case it helps, 'we' means two adults, four children between 3 and 9, and a dog. Although the dog doesn't have to come if it's lovely but dogs aren't allowed.

Sandyballs in the New Forest is an option and def not-quite-centerparcs :-)

But could I tell people I was really going on holiday somewhere called Sandy Balls?
