Do we stay or do we go?

Currently camping at Camusdarach, supposed to be doing a grand tour of Scotland but we seem to have settled here (7 nights so far)

We need to be back home by Thursday at the latest so that gives us 3-4 more nights, can't decide whether to move on and see more 'sights' or stay here in blissful relaxation.
Weather is changeable, our pitch isn't that level but we have the best view in the whole site, best wifi signal and OMG that beach, that wonderful beach.

So Mumsnet campers, what should we do? Grin

Oo tricky. Is there another chance to grand tour another time, if you're all so happy and relaxed? Seems a shame to spoil it by having to take that tent down and pack

Disclaimer - I get the CBA on your behalf to take tent down, pack stuff, move on, put up tent, etcWink

Are you been bitten alive by midgees, if not stay Grin

gingeroots · 26/08/2012 09:28

I'd stay - I've just googled and it looks like heaven .

No brainer

Stay! Looks gorgeous.

Can advise you that southern Scotland is wet and cold: stay where you are Smile

SeashellsAllezModInYellowAllez · 26/08/2012 15:29

Stay :)

NonnyMuss · 26/08/2012 18:16

Never was one to take advice, we'll be at Comrie Croft in 1/2 hour or so.

I'm glad we've moved on, spectacular scenery all the way here (not that the kids care, faces buried in their DS's the whole way, sigh...)

Big recommendations for Camusdarach, owners are new apparently and so lovely and friendly and helpful, we'll definitely be back Smile (did I mention the beach..?)

Thanks for update !
Tell us more about Camusdarach - web says visiting shop ?

Are the hook ups kind of squashed up - we like to use tent but sometimes like hook up ,but not if overshadowed by caravans IYSWIM.

So glad you posted - am full of hopes for next year .

NonnyMuss · 26/08/2012 22:19

Don't know about the mobile shop, info said 2 days a week but we just popped out to co-op or spar in Mallaig (5-10 minute drive) which had everything we needed including new memory cards for full cameras (sooo many beautiful photos!)
Doesn't feel remote or isolated once offsite, Thai takeaway in Morar is to die for, but the site itself is lovely and peaceful and informal, not overshadowed by caravans at all. We didn't use hookup so didn't see really, caravan field looked more divided up but one side of the tent field had EHU so probably more space per pitch.

Will update more tomorrow if I get chance and 3g signal, am going to be resident Camusdarach bore if I'm not careful Grin
