Storing fresh food

I'm a newbie off camping tomorrow for two days (currently in denial about weather forecast Wink)

Just wondered what people do for food on day 2 and beyond. If I freeze some sausages and burgers and take them out of the freezer tomorrow lunchtime will they still be OK to eat on Monday evening (if I store them from frozen in a cool box)? What about milk for Tuesday morning? SHould I freeze some and take it with me or would I be better waiting to buy it on the site?

Food will be fine in a cool box as long as you don't open it that often.
The campsite will sell fresh milk, though I would have thought that semi skimmed milk bought Fri will easily last til Tuesday.
There'll be shops where you are so why not buy meat as you need it and just buy veg, fruit and packet stuff to take with you?
Don't forget to pack the toilet paper though!
Camping is great! Have fun Smile
Though you haven't picked a good weekend to try it out Sad

For the sake of 2 days Id rely on local shops and buy as I need it. Coolbox obviously will work too but Ive been guilty if overstocking it, resulting in a lot of waste at end of w/end. Good luck...hope the weather is kind to you!
