Which site do you find give the most accurate weather forecast trying to decide if we should give up this weekend as a bad idea?

I tend to find bbc weather pretty good tbh - they do hourly for the next 48 hours and then 3 hourly for the next few days after that. I sometimes double check against the met office also.

We are camping this weekend also (at Solfest so can't be altered!) - I'd go anyway but take waterproofs and wellies - do you have dc? They won't care if it rains I shouldn't think Smile

www.yr.no are very accurate.

Milliways · 21/08/2012 19:15

ANother vote here for yr.no - excellent site.

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 21/08/2012 19:21

I find uk.weather.com more accurate than bbc. DH and I have a stand-off over this as he prefers bbc - I am always better prepared than him Grin
(When I was skiing in Jan, with a flaky car and it mattered what the snowfall prediction was in the Alps, uk.weather.com had it spot on...)

ScariestFairyByFar · 21/08/2012 20:25

Thanks sadly none of them are saying what I want them too! Sad

(scariest - i like your name! Grin)

Mum2Fergus · 21/08/2012 21:59

Ive downloaded the Living Earth app...only been using it a week or so but its been accurate so far Smile

TheHappyCamper · 22/08/2012 08:32

No, I agree. None of my 4 that I check are saying what I want them to! Our 3rd day camping on Sunday is forecast heavy rain and thunder and lighting! Oh joy Grin

ScariestFairyByFar · 22/08/2012 13:32

The one I like best is MetCheck which says showers between sun so I'm going to go for it! Keep your fingers crossed for me please

Argh. We were planning our first camping trip with kids next week - is weather going to be awful then? I'm not nesh, but I spent far too many holidays as a kid in a crappy wet tent to tolerate it with three boys!

MarianForrester · 22/08/2012 14:38

theHappyCamper We are meant to be going to Solfest too- may chicken out tho, can't face three days camping in the rain. And mud. Sad

I am definitely a fair weather camper. Keep obsessively checking weather in the hope of a miracle.

TheHappyCamper · 22/08/2012 16:46

Oh Hi MarianForrester - I will be on the lookout for MNetters then Wink - We are going anyway but I hate camping in the rain so much! I suppose we could always leave if it's too bad (?).

scarist - I have everything crossed for you, well for us all actually.
