Camping in Anglesey

Hi, any good campsites in Anglesey?
Am I unreasonable in being very excited for dh and I to have bought a new tent this weekend. An Outwell Nevada can't wait to try it out. We even have a carpet!

We like White Lodge towards Newborough which is not v posh but has a cafe attached and the beach & woodlands at Newborough are lovely.
For posh you need to head to Home Farm over near Benllech - tbh there are lots of sites on that side of the island. St David's at Red Wharf Bay is ok and there are lots up at Rhosneigr and Treaddur Bay too.

What sort of site are you looking for? Generally the further away from the mountains you go the better the weather too

red wharf bay is beautiful. 5 year old ds was so amazed by the view on arriving there that he failed to eat his tea.

I remember camping when I was a child at St Davids bay in my grandads vw bay campervan (before they were trendy) .

It was fab although dh has pointed out that was approximately 25 years ago and it may have changed somewhat!
