Trailer tent recommendations.

After a couple of happy summers in our tent we feel like getting comfy beds and upgrading to a trailer tent. We have a lovely outwell nevada m tent which is really bright and airy and I really just want something like that with comfy beds oh and a kitcheny thing. Does anyone have any recommendations? All the ones I've seem to look really old fashioned. And are they harder to put up than a tent?

Many thanks for sharing,

Scatt

We have a dandy destiny

It's brilliant. So much better than a canvas one. Dead easy to put up. Waterproof warm and comfy. Folds to a small essy to store and tow trailer. Even as under floor heating. What more could you want?

Ok it's the reliant robin of the camping world and totally fugly, but if that bothers you get something less fit for purpose and prettier!(lol)

I think you really need to look at different models somewhere. Danny's are folding campers ie you can use the main unit without ever pegging a thing, which for us is brilliant. However it is small. You can sleep 4 adults (or 2 and 3 kids) without an awning ( and we ave a pup tent) its an overnight stop only thing- takes just 5 mins to put up and is easy.

If you want a big unit with bedrooms/ kitchen area ( we have 2 burners/grill / sink with cold water inside the unit) look at a suncamp maybe - but there is serious work to do re. Setting up every time- true trailer tents need unfolding and thrm frame fixing and pegging. Canvas units, like canvas tents leak it they are touched when wet, ad have to be dried too. ( we can pack a wet unit ad keep the contents dry)

Eta I've not seen a non canvas trailer tent but they must exist ( the dandy is PVC like lorry sides but insulated)
