Outwell Magic Fantasy Tent

Hi, Does anyone have this tent? What do you think? And is it really 30kg!?

We have the oregon 4, but I want to get a proper family tent with more room, and importantly stand up space. The magic is only 1m wider and 1m longer, how does it weigh 3x the oregon? Do you think you could put it up on your own?

Also they've discontinued it, I was after a carpet but can't find one. Do the carpets for the following year model (and awnings, canopys) generally fit the previous year model? The tent is on sale, I could get that this year, and add the carpet and awning if need be, next year if that was the case.

TIA

I love the kids bedroom! I guess it is heavy because of the steel poles.

If its a outwell it could easily be 30kg. Heavier fabric, heavier floor/groundsheets, heavy poles.

I think the basic tent stays the same year on year, they just tweak colours and things. Isn't the Magic an Oakland XL with a different kids room? So you could use that carpet.

You can put most tents up on your own but it might be a marathon effort and require a bit of muscle to do the main lift. Try watching the video.

It is the Oakland in disguise, so I could get those optional extra's. I prefer when they did the kids room as a separate purchase, then I could buy a much lighter tent and add the kids room to it. The Birdland 5 for instance is similar in size, but only 20kgs.
