We are aiming to go camping with DS in may. DH and me have been numerous times but it will be DS 1st time (15 months!) so quite exciting!
I am looking for a decent site with nice showers, loo's etc, possibly a shop and a decent pub near by, but not really interested in the big sites that have on site entertainment, pool iykwim!
Also if anyone has any tips for camping with a toddler who is still in nappies then feel free to pass on your knowledge!!
Thanks..

also has anyone any experience of 'ready-beds?'
was looking at them on ebay for DS - does anyone know if they are any good?

There is a youth hostel at Boggle Hole.

Don't know if they let you camp tooo.

I've stopped \link{http://www.caravansitesuk.co.uk/ensite0126.htm\Here} and it was lovely, its near a fantastic walk called the Clevelend way, the walk goes into whitby and also into robin hoods bay and carries on to boggle hole.

We've camped at Middlewood Farm, Fylingthorpe in the past ( just tried to do a link but can't!!)
There's not a lot on the site itself but you can walk through the woods and end up in Robin Hoods Bay itself. As far as I remember the showers were OK and you can pay to hire a private bathroom.

We are hoping to go again this year once it's warmer. Not sure how we'll go on with DS1 at 3 and DS2 who'll be going on for a year in the summer. TBH we had a nightmare with DS1 as as soon as it was light he woke up and just created!! Think we just need to accept that we'll probably be all up by 5.00am!!

Here is the one sarahhal mentioned \link{http://www.middlewoodfarm.com/\Middlewood Farm}

Thanks :) - middlewood farm looks great!
Have sent the link to DH to see what he thinks.

I have a feeling may have stayed there years ago - although if it's the same place it looks like it might have changed a lot.

I don't know that area but you could try looking at \link{http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk\UK Campsite}. They list loads of campsites and reviews.

Hi

yes I have just been looking on there reading the reviews of middlewood Farm.
Generally sounds ok - but a lot of people complained of being packed in like sardines when it was peak times - have you experienced that sarahhal?

We've been in July/August at the weekend and didn't find it too bad. It was certainly busy and if you go on a Friday I'd try to get there as early in the aft as poss as it really busied up later in the aft.
