I'm considering it but I'm wondering if everywhere will be packed now that we have a dry patch after MONTHS of rain.

No but we are caravanning....sqqueeeeeel!!

Trying out our new caravan for 3 nights at a local site. We weren't meant to be going till tomorrow but i called up this morning and they can fit us in tonight too so we are off in an hour. I'm looking at the piles of stuff everywhere ready to load the car up, thinking this is worse than camping, but most of it will stay on the van for good once unpacked.

Not this weekend but the 3 following weekends we are :) Just been booking it all - one weekend away, one weekend on a site enroute to a week at another :) here's hoping for lots of good weather AND the reviews of the sites all being true!!

Cant wait, just trying to decide whether to book 2 nights in London when we go to the Paralympics in September. Its making the trip very spensive though.

I'm still considering camping but I have a bad back which never seems to get better and the thought of a bad night's sleep and lugging equipment in and out of the car is putting me off.

Has anyone camped in Youth Hostel grounds? I'm thinking that I could bring less equipment with me if I camped there as I could use their kitchen facilities.
