Sorry for landing on here with lots of questions suddenly!

Do any of you use pup tents for your kids? What age would you use them from. I'm pretty sure I was out in my own tent from a younger age than DD is now (9) but for some reason the idea of it makes me feel a bit twitchy.

We let DD1 sleep in a tent in the caravan awning from the age of 12 I think but only if the dog slept out there too.

In a caravan you don't hear so much so might be less twitchy about having a younger child without a dog in a tent which was very close. Not if you have to leave the regulation 3m though.

DS was sleeping in his own tent from 9, and in a woodland site took himself and his friend off to an ajoining glade - but he did have a friend with him. he has also slept on his own in his little tent more than 3m away.

I am woken by the noise of zips, I am not worried abut this at all.

Thank you for your thoughts. I'm really undecided. I guess for now she'd be ok in with her little brothers anyway.

What does she want to do?

My 2 - 9 and 10 have slept in one. Very exciting for them! I never thought about safety

We have got round the room sharing issue by putting the Dd's in the bedroom pods and DP and I sleep in the living area of the tent, it works fine so long as you have a SIG and gives the kids some space of there own.

We have put the Dd's together in a pup tent when we are away with our smaller tent but usually they are together or Dd2 is on her own, she has done this since about 14.
