do you use a trailer when camping?
if so, do you know whether by law you have to have a proper number plate on the back or if it's ok to paint one on a bit of wood???

and, what's the name of that box thingy that goes on the back of the car that aitch got?

By law you should have a proper number plate, as it needs to be reflective. According to dh, that is!

I hink you do have to have a proper number plate but it only costs about £15 at Halfords - we did it recently as we bought a second hand trailer.

I did look at a box that hooks on the back of a car ( there was a thread about it last year) but it didn't look big enough.

that's cool, can do a proper one no problem, just means i have to fit some time in to get one done :)

can you remember what that box thingy is called?

oh no they are sold out right now :(

would be perfect for us, we don't have that much extra that we need to fit in

We saw a family camping last year with their pushchair strapped onto a bike carrier on the back of their car and we are planning to try it this year to free up a bit off car space. Already have a bike carrier so surely one of our 7 pushchairs will fit (reformed pram hun)

haha that's a good idea actually. my youngest is 3, so we prob won't be taking a pushchair anyway. i wonder if we could strap other stuff onto a bike rack though?/?

Thule do a box that you can fix onto a rear mounted bike carrier. Not the cheapest though...
