Camping in Angers, Tours?

I'm looking for camp-sites somewhere in these areas. I'm going to be staying in Rouen and making my way down eventually to Riberac. I've plotted somewhere between the two to camp for a week, and have absolutely no idea where to go!

I've been recommended the Castels Camping and was also wondering if anyone has any experience of these camp-sites?

DC are 7,6 and 4 so pool, horse riding nearby, fishing etc are a must.

Ta.

Try one of these:
Parc de Monsabert - Coutures, about 6miles from Brissac (just south of Anger)
Camping L'etang - at Brissac
Camping Chantepie - near Saumur.

they've all got pools and various activities on site as well as excellent and very clean 'sanitaires'. We stayed at Monsabert earlier this month - it's really friendly with large pitches and a big covered pool. We've stayed at the others in previous years - we've been to Chantepie about 4 times over the years and it's great. Saumur is a lovely town as well, and the local wine is fab!

I can't do links but a google search should find them.

The last couple of Castels sites we've stayed on have been disappointing, not terrible but definitely under par and overpriced.

We stayed in a place called Chinon last year on our way down. Lovely town with amazing history and castle.
The castle had a lift going from the street up to it, dc said it was likeWilly Wonka!
We stayed in a municipal site, play area but no pool. It is right on the river so maybe fishing?
But there would be other sites in the area that may fit the bill better.

www.chateau-de-chanteloup.com/ a bit further north - Le Mans - but we loved this site (Les Castels)

For Tours, try Le Moulin Fort at Chenonceaux-really lovely and very clean shower blocks. If you're in a tent you can pitch it on the river bank!
