we're planning this too although dd is 5 months not quite newborn. got a big double sleeping bag for me and her. ive camped with a crawling ds and i think this should be easier. no escaping from the tent!

are you bf or ff? sterilising bottles could be harder. also lots of nappy sacks so you dont stink the tent out!

Can't you get a double blow up bed or put 2 side by side?

2 side by side might not be good as baby might fall down the gap. also they tend to sink in the middle. i think on the ground with foam mats is best

We usually sleep on a double duvet with two singles on top. But I think that might be a suffocation risk as Ds will only be 4 weeks old.

He'll be bf, but that will be its own drama as I wear lots of layers in bed, so risk of suffocation from one of my many jumpers too?

I got a Lidl double SIM and DD2 and I slept on that. They say its a double, but that would be calling it names Wink I went for something that buttoned down the front so that I could lob a boob out without freezing to death. DD was a bit older - about 3 months old I think. Wouldn't use an airbed as I think the rolling risk would be too great.

I think with DD, we went camping when she was 4 months old. We had sleeping mats side by side, me in a double bag with DP and DD in a sleeping bag (gro-bag) with a couple of layers underneath to keep her warm. It was a bit of a faff to feed but we managed ok.
