Good luck - I think you may have missed the worst of it. Tomorrow is looking sunny here in the SW.

We chickened out too! Couldn't face pitching the tent in the rain and then trying to dry it all next week.

I have been looking at lots of vans on eBay though and will be purchasing some form of vehicle to sleep in if the weather is too bad to pitch the tent.

Found you. I will be following your blog. The campsite you went to sounds and looks great but I don't think I could cope with those showers so maybe a bit too wild for me!
