Back from holiday with a very old and now damaged folding camper :(
We have another 3 trips booked over the summer and while we would love another folding camper, we just can't afford it right now. Therefore we need to buy a tent to see us though the summer.
I prefer cotton, needs to sleep 4 plus a large dog and his crate. Needs to have a cooking area or a canopy to cook under.
I'm used to large amount of space. It needs to be put up by two people as kids are still young.
Any advice or suggestions welcome. Heading to camping expo this afternoon to look for a bargain

Some lovely 2nd hand Cabanon frame tents on eBay atm. Cotton, large, sturdy, a lot with the push out kitchen areas and or porches.

Sorry to hear about your folding camper Sad.

Have just been perusing the Obelink site myself today. What sort of style do you fancy? Some gorgeous pyramids there and a tent v similar to the Cabanon biscaya but half the price. Hang on will go find it for you...

check out this gorgeous polycotton beastie

Slubberdegullion · 08/06/2012 12:17

The superieur 6 which I also heart most greatly

Slubberdegullion · 08/06/2012 12:21

Or the Antares 5

What a brilliant price that tent is. And the front wall zips out so you can move it forward (to make a huge living area) or back (to have living area + porch) as in the photo.

Think you can do the same with the pyramid too.

As you can see I have been fantasy tent shopping since returning early from camping on Wednesday.

Of the three the pyramid would be by far the easiest to put up. Dh and I can get our albeit smaller canvas pyramid up and fully pegged in 15 mins.

I posted this last night in this topic too, very big tent and it's a pop up so mega easy to get up. :)

Massive Quechua 4.2

Slubber I have this image of you in a darkened room drooling over online tent catalogues and making peculiar grunting noises every time you see a particularly gorgeous one...

Slubberdegullion · 08/06/2012 12:50

Jubilucket you are frighteningly not far from the truth Grin

I spent a very happy few hours this morning lying in bed with the rain lashing against the velux windows in status pleasurtentus on the obelink site.
