We will have ehu for the first time ever - what do we need?

We've booked a pitch with a hook up (mainly to avoid driving round the pitch-anywhere bit of the field trying to find somewhere less than half a mile from the toilets - manor farm) for 6 nights in July. Not had ehu before.
What do we need? is there a standard thingy we plug into the hook-up, and can we then plug in any old kettle? I would quite like to make tea quicker + boil water to start cooking going faster (we cook on Trangias).
Thanks for advice...

Thank you both very much - have been avoiding ehu to try and keep down the amount of stuff we take. But a kettle would be nice... Smile.
Hope you have good weather and a great trip, thunderboltkid.

Hi Thunderbolt. I'm Interested to know how you got on using the EHU? I've also been looking at them recently and have been a bit confused/scared by some of the posts on camping sites! If you found this to be OK I'll get one too.

Thanks

we take a camping fridge, cheapy tesco value kettle, toaster, ds chargers, phone chargers, battery charger etc

have in the past taken electric lamp thingy and if there was room in the car I might take a sandwich toaster!

friends took their in car dvd which also runs on mains power - brilliant when it rained most of last week

as long as you get a proper ehu like the one linked to above you'll be fine :) as long as you don't try to run the toaster and kettle at once, they the thing trips and you have to reset it (I will learn eventually!)
