We've just done ou first trip with friends...so I feel like I've earned my right to post on his board properly!!

Thanks so much to everyone who advised us what to get months back. Those 'what to buy if I'm a first timer' threads really helped. There are a few more things I reckon we'd need, ideally, but we were stuffed to the GILLS as it was and think we have to consider a roof box.

Roaring campfires, spectacular weather. On weekends like this one I wonder why anyone with children would have any other kind of holiday. They were in their element. I guess I might feel differently when it's raining though...but so glad we made the investment in the kit - I am looking forward to tons of fun holidays!!!!

So glad you had fun! It really has been the most spectacular weekend for camping not all trips will live up to your first wowo experience in this weather we are currently camping in the back garden as couldn't get away

We've got another one booked - not to Wowo but to a place in Suffolk - w/e 9 June. And looking to book up another few. I have a feeling there will be A LOT of people on the phone/emailing tomorrow am inspired by this weekend.

I think the trick is to pick a place where there is stuff you could do nearby in the rain...

wowo is fab, and you have had tremendous weather. Glad your introduction to campng was such a positive experience
