Our bell tent has just arrived

Seeing as the sun is shining it would be silly not to use it

So an impromptu camping trip is being planned for this weekend

The baby will be ina travel cot, but what makes a good bed for a nearly 3 yr old?

Thank you :)

Happy new bell tent! This year ours 1.10 years and 3.3 years will both be on adult sized airbeds. Last year the eldest had a readybed, but she's grown A LOT. Can't give the youngest the readybed as eldest would be jealous! So it's ordinary airbeds all round.

Enjoy your camping. Jealous!!

The tub type of airbeds get good reviews on here - the ones with raised edges so your DCs can't roll out. I think we might go for one this year as I keep finding DD asleep on the groundsheet which can't be warm.

Have a wonderful weekend. I too am jealous. We are off to Northern France for the Jubilee weekend so can't really go this weekend too. It is not looking good at the moment....

DS had an airbed with raised sides and did very well on it, although it was so squeaky that I ended up harumphing out of the inner tent I was sharing with him and half freezing in the main part of the bell tent. At least it was quiet there though Grin
A blanket underneath and a sheepskin/blanket on top and he was sorted, squeak-wise. I also tried him on an alpkit kids self inflating mat another camp, and he was very warm and comfy. Preferred the airbed though.

Thanks

We've just done a trial erection in the garden (sniffer) and she is beautiful!

Ok so airbed with raised sides, would one get one from a camping shop?

We used a readybed for Dd3 with a child sized mummy bag stuffed down the inside.

She is a cold sleeper but with a fleecey sleepsuit on she was cozy and slept well.

The beds with the raised sides look fab though I think they might do them in argos.

happy campingGrin

We use same set up as Ineedalife works fine.
