We stayed in a mobile home in Brittany 3yrs ago with ds now (8) and dd now (13) with 'Canvas' - it was great but the weather was a bit dodgy. We have been to the south pre-kids but bit daunted by length of journey now as we are in ScotlandHmm
This year we are hoping to take our own tent ,as on even more of a budget than usual , and would really love recommendations for campsites that have something for teenagers and possibly kidsclub for ds but are still scenic and unspoilt. We are thinking of going first two weeks in July .

Hi, not sure if you've been following any of the other France threads but I too am making that lengthy journey from Scotland. Have 4 DDs 8, 10,12, 14 and have sheltered from the rain in Brittany playing cards and getting slowly sloshed!

This year to make journey doable and because we used our Tesco Clubcard points (I notice you are budgeting too) we are driving down through the day, crossing early evening and have booked into a mega cheap Hotel Formulae, then we can drive on refreshed the next day, ready for the ensuing battle that pitching and unpacking will undoubtably be.

We had lovely weather here; www.fierbois.com/camp-site-france-parc-de-fierbois.php and there was plenty for all ages to do. This year we are heading to www.campingfouche.com/. Envy you going first fortnight in July, should be busy enough but not heaving.

I have booked le fayolan in the Jura region. We go in August.

Not been before but it looks lovely.

Booked direct with yelloh! and found their prices average.
