Things to do in Normandy with a toddler

I am going to be spending 10 days camping alone with my DS (2.9) in Normandy at the beginning of June. I am really looking forward to it but a little apprehensive as this will be the first time I have been camping on my own with him. We are spending 5 nights at l'anse du brick campsite outside Cherbourg and then 5 nights at Kawan Camping Haliotis near Mont St Michel.
Has anyone got any suggestions for toddler friendly activities in either area? Has anyone stayed on either site?

We are then meeting my DH and staying for a week at l'arada parc outside Tours so any suggestions for that area also welcome.
Thanks! Trying to convince myself that camping with a toddler will be fun and having ideas about things to do can only help.

Hello, you might want to check out alligator bay near mont St Michel. I've never been though have seen lots of signs. Seems to be some kind of safari park or similar. Hope you have a lovely time.

I would recommend Alligator Bay. The Mont St Michel is also worth a visit. There's an aquarium in Cherbourg and a steam train in Barneville-Carteret. A lot of the beaches are nice with rockpools to fish in. We've been to Normandy twice - ds2 was 18 motnhs the first time and 2.5 the second time and we found plenty to do. There'll be swimming at the campsites too, I expect.

Thanks rosy! Ds is mad about trains at the minute so the steam train might just make his holiday. Going on Thursday so I am beginning to get really excited.
