Family camping trip - location help

Oh wise campers! I need your help.

We want to go on a family camping trip for a week. Beginning on 23rd July. There will be 7 adults, 2 children (14 and 15) and 2 infants (under 2). I don't want to be paying loads for it, but it's the only week we can go because everyone is free.

Can anyone recommend anywhere for us to go? It's a mix of beginners and amateurs when it comes to camping. It needs to be in UK and ideally not too far away from public transport. I've been looking, but find it so confusing!

TIA

What area of the country, roughly?
What would you like?
Pool, on-site entertainment?
Peace and quiet and lots of walking and bike trails nearby?
Seaside?

We were thinking North East or West or Midlands.

A pool, places nearby to go, on site entertainment unnecessary.

Thanks, will look at the link also

Upper Booth farm in the Peak Districtis lovely.

Eisteddfa Campsite near Criccieth also very nice.

What do the teens want? ours loves Abersoch (cool) and festivals.
