Would love to take the children to a campsite which allowes camfires. Have searched online but was wondering if anyone has personal recommendations.

I had an AMAZING weekend HERE a couple of years ago for a hen-do. So tranquil and friendly. They're mainly a tipi site, and there are fire pits outside each tipi, not sure about on the camping field, but definitely worth asking.

We've found Cloud Farm in Devon - we were looking for a campfire-friendly place too and it looks lovely...

Is cloud farm still open? Thought i read somewhere that the owners have moved.

Seems like it has new owners - I have been talking to them by email about our upcoming trip next month so I certainly hope so Smile

i have cycled past cloud farm and it is a lovely spot really beautiful - now glad i have seen th e link may well go back down that way

Cloud farm was stunning but be aware it's on a slope, it also has its own micro climate!

Hopefully the new owners will keep up with the fab cakes!

Down into deepest darkest cornwall, I can recommend noongallas

Rocks East near Bath is nice, it's a small friendly site with lovely walks in the surrounding woodland.

We've just come back from Easewell Farm, Woolacombe. Its part of Woolacombe bay group so you can use the facilities of all its 4 sites. Nice site, more commercialised than we have been to before - although the EHU pitches would have been a little small if it had been full.

OOh I've just booked Easewell Farm for haf term, was a bit wary as more commercialised than we would usually do so glad to hear a positive review

If you can't get into Cloud Farm then look at Doone Valley which is just along the river a bit.

jobnockey · 15/05/2012 12:10

If you look on UK campsites website they have a list of campsites which allow campfires and you can search by area... i don't know how to do linky things but if you search on google i'm sure you'll find it.

jobnockey · 15/05/2012 12:11

i meant to say there's loads of reviews on there too...
