Im looking to buy a camping larder with a solid top.Im worried that the ones I have looked at online are a bit rubbish. The flimsy shelves look like they would bend with a tin of beans on leat alone stuff for a family for 2 weeks. Any suggestions ?

I would tell you what make ours is but I'd have to go and check in the shed Grin

I don't think it's anything flash though and the shelves are fine. I know what you mean about them looking thin but ours have been ok.

nobodysfool · 28/04/2012 23:19

Mary if you ever venture into the shed could you have a look for me please. Grin

We were given it by another lovely MNer and it's probably about 4.5 / 5ft tall.

ours is made by Vango. It is very solid and shelves hold lots without bending. Also the legs are adjustable so will always be stable on uneven ground.
The only drawback is trying to fit it all the pieces back in the bag to go home!!

nobodysfool · 05/05/2012 17:00

Thanks kahlua4me sounds like the Vango Melbourne Im looking at getting.

I've got this one. I can't find the we bite that I got it from at the moment but I paid under £30 for it last week.

My friend has the same one but 30 years old and orange and it's fab!

Sorry

We found it easy to cook and prepare food on and shelves easily took our heavier items.

Whitecat · 07/05/2012 21:59

We've got this. Vango table We've had it for years, its sturdy, holds quite alot of food/kit and its survived torrential downpours. We use it to do food prep and cook on it. Highly recommended.

VivaLeBeaver · 07/05/2012 23:49
