Has anyone been here? Seem to have heard fab reveiws and want to go, but looking to go over a bank holiday weekend. Is it
a) too busy then?
b) worth the extra half hour drive on a bank holiday?

I've been to Beddglert loads, although never camping (campsite looks nice though). Lovely cafes. Good woods TL explore and ride bikes.Bike hire. Playground. Kid friendly walks. River. Playground.

The Forestry Commision campsite has a request stop on the newish steam train railway which was great.

We stayed at the forest holiday site last whitsun. It is certainly different compared to many campsites i have been on.

You can pitch anywhere and there are lots of little area some are more grassy than other.

It is mainly under trees and is surrounded by streams.

The sound of rushing water was lovely but the ground was wet and we didnt get alot of sun to dry it out.

Personally, i wasnt that keen, it was a bit dark for me but the facilities were ok and the little shop and play area were a nice touch.

Try getting it up on google earth before you make a decision.
