Camping in the Vendee?

Any suggestions for a good campsite here?

yes I stayed on a lovely family run campsite last year, the lady was german and the husband french and they both spoke English, french and german.

the site had a mixture of campervans. caravans, self catering tents

the lady cooked dinner in the eve if you ordered the day before
the showers etc where very clean - but they did ask you not to wear shoes in the shower block which meant it stayed clean

now you are going to want to know where this is I guess

it was ont he cycle route (we cycled in into St jean de Mont on the cycle route off road) It was around 4 miles north on a small road

It was 400meters to the beach through the woods

This is not an all singing and dancing site, it has a small lovely pool but not lots of slides and noise - if entertainment is what you are looking for then this probably will not be the site for you.

I really liked the site and would go back, the owners are friendly and very helpful

Nope, I think it would suit us too. We prefer quieter sites

Oh and they had wifi which they sold cheaply for the week to log on. A pizza van visited just outside once a week and you could order the pizza and go back later to collect as they made the pizza fresh.
