I need a new kettle.

One that holds at least 1.5litres.

One that pours beautifully so I don't end up spilling boiling water on my feet. (which has happened with all previous camping kettles).

One that sits on a gas burner/hob.

One that looks pretty and fulfils my secret desire to glamp whilst not in the slightest bit glamping.

No set budget, am happy to pay if it fulfils my criteria and will last.

Thank you.

Simplex. Handmade in. Birmingham. Does all you ask and costs loads!

I bought a gorgeous-looking enamel stove-top one from our local Indian tut shop last week. Tis bright pink and a thing of loveliness :) Fiver. Bargainous.

Whether it actually works or not is another matter, but it looks jolly sturdy, holds 2.5 litres of water, has a folding handle and, unlike our 'proper' camping kettle, has a lid that comes off properly so you don't have to try and fill the bugger through the spout and spill half your water all over the kitchen/ground/yourself...

I will see if it's any particular make and get back to you.

They charge £9.95 to ship to Ireland! Shock Do they know that we are almost within swimming distance?

Intetesting. Thank you. My kettle research has begun in earnest.

Wow! Apart from the P&P cost, that kettle is a good buy, esp because it is steel not amuminium. I have ditched one aluminium ketttle in favour of S steel - which was more expensive than that one.

The simplex ones are truly gorgeous!!
