I am thinking of booking a mobile home in the South of France for me dh and dd 22 mths at time of going. I am told the mobile home does not have air conditioning but has electric fans. Anyone had any experience will fan be enough???

Where we stayed was sheltered by lots of trees so the caravan didn't get too hot, it REALLY helps. Depending on the time of year you go, you may be OK.

Ask for a shady emplacement - if they have one! We have always survived. SOme vans have mosquito blinds so can keep windows open & blinds seal the windows.

If kids get too hot in tiny rooms we let them sleep on the big lounge sofas & leave the fan on for them.

We are going to the Med this August - can't wait
