Campsites in middle of England

We're looking for a family campsite somewhere between Manchester (where I live) and Surrey (where sister lives). We both have kids aged 4 & 18m so need stuff to keep them occupied. I was thinking Forest of Dean which is pretty equidistant but sister wants somewhere with a beach!? So I was thinking perhaps a lakeside with a manmade beach?

Any recommendations? Needs to accommodate static and tents. Thanks.

Lomgleat? No beach but there's a lake and the Centre Parc nearby.

There is a campsite with a man-made beach near cirencester but I can't remember what it's called.

The Forest of Dean sites are fab! If not this time, you could maybe join the possible MN Camping Meetup at Bracelands on
this thread which also has links to the site.
