any suggestions? we want to hire a caravan in either Brittany/Normandy/South West France in September with a 4 year old and a nearly one year old. Looking to go with a friend and their family. Used to do Canvas when I was a kid and had looked at Carisma but they don't take bookings past 5 September and we want to leave on the 10th (ish). Can anyone recommend a site that caters for kids, even during termtime, and the best company to travel with? Thanks so much!

I don't know about term time but I think so.

We went to Perpignan, south west France twice with eurocamp. They were excellent. 1st time we went dcs were 8months, 6 and 13. They all loved it and so did we.

The campsite is clean and the beach is amazing. There are suitable pools for all ages and the food is a mix of new and familiar stuff. There is a town nearby and you can have a ride on the road train to get there or walk 10mins to the port for the tiny ferry.

Brilliant which is why we went twice!

Thanks that sounds great - will look it up. How long did it take you to drive down and did you break up the trip?

I'm sorry but there was no way I was going to drive! We flew from Manchester.

I do know a few people who have driven and they did break up the drive over 3 days so they could see a bit of France along the way.

We only had a week so we couldn't have done it really anyway.
