Cobbs in France

to cheer myself up on this chilly sunday I have been planning our summer hols..we have booked for 10 days at a site in south western france and i Can't Wait! We have a campervan and cooking is usually bbq and, more recently, a cobb. I understand that lots of places in france won't allow BBQ due to fire risk - does anyone know whether a cobb would be classed as a bbq or if we could still use? Don't know whether I want the answer to be yes or no really! Am always up for a bit of extra camping kit shopping Grin

We went to the camping municipal in Vendée, which is in the dunes/forest this year with our cobb - and then there was a big sign at the entrance saying no bbqs... We risked it one night to do sardines but I was totally stressed out about the smoke so check before you go. What's the site?

If Slubber is around, she may be able to advise - I'm fairly certain that she's said in the past that her Cobb was allowed at French campsites when no other kind of bbq was...?

Ours was last year as it was a sealed unit but we e-mailed ahead to check anyway- didn't want to waste packing space if not!
