We're going to camping acapulco in St Jean de MOnts in June - can't wait!

Blandmum · 18/01/2006 21:07

Where in St Jean? I've been there, beach is fab!!! Market in town is also fab!

I'm going to Domaine de la Foret in the vendee and a camp site near Eurodisney

calpopscalum · 18/01/2006 21:43

yeah, we've been to St Jean before and loved it. I think Acapulco is out the ST Gilles end of St Jean but we shal see. DH has now got a SATNAV that covers Europe (new toy) so we shall see where we end up as he will follow that religiously and not my directions from an old fashioned map! may end up in Eurodisney! Whch site are you going to there? had some friends who stayed in a site nearby and they loved it.

I'm trying to book a mobile home directly with a site at the moment - if I have any success I'll let you know - are you looking for a pitch only?

There have been a few threads with recommendations if you do a search.

I think the St John de Monts area is supposed to be fairly busy....

Have you tried the Alan Rogers French website? there are lots of sites listed and most have reviews and direct website links.

KTeePee · 22/01/2007 14:12

OK I'll try to link to some old threads....

CODNoMore · 22/01/2007 14:12

KTeePee · 22/01/2007 14:14

KTeePee · 22/01/2007 14:15

No Cod, haven't found anything yet.

I have emailed a couple of the ones recommended by MB but haven't heard back yet....I may have to give in and book through a Keycamp type company....

Lucycat · 22/01/2007 14:17

Went to the Canvas Holidays site at Belves in the Dordogne last year and loved it. Thought Canvas were great. Planning to do a house in the Dordogne for a week with friends in July this year but will book our crossings through Canvas and spend the week before in a couple of their sites - DH is keen on Biarritz, I was thinking Carcassonne....

CODNoMore · 22/01/2007 14:32

Try Sunelia: a French company. Booked with them this year - great prices, choice of accomm., very helpful, beat eurocamp and Keycamp for price of comparable holidays.

MegBusset · 24/03/2007 16:05

I mentioned it on the Vendee thread, but I went to le Garangeoire many times as a kid / teen and LOVED it. Can't wait to go back when DS is old enough (er, and I've learned to drive!)
