Can anyone recommend me a nice campsite on the gower for a couple of novices?

Dh and I have decided to bit the bullet this year and go camping but looking at all the campsite choice is mind boggling.

We would like

A sea view
decent toilets
showers
ability to have a bbq/fire

absolutely would not like

Evening 'entertainment'
Noisey bastards
Road noise.

Any suggestions?

Try a search of that area on uk campsite nearly every site is there - all with reviews Smile

Llangenith is the best on the Gower and ticks all of your list.it's also within walking distance to a good pub! Port Eynon is also good and less remote. Have fun.

No specific recommendations for you....only to say the Gower is lovely.

Note that a lot of sites allow bbqs but not fires. I won't stay anywhere that doesnt allow fires, as I think it's a bit grim sitting around after dark without one.

You might not get 'seaview' (it could be a bit breezy anyway) might have to settle for walking distance to the sea.

Second the recommendation to look at Uk campsite.

Hillend - but you can't book. Don't know about fires on site - bt plenty of people were doing campfires in the sanddunes!

Dh's parents like Nicholston Farm. The site owners are lovely apparently. I've never camped there but I've done PYO there and the shop/cafe is nice.

Nicholaston, Hillend if you don't mind a bit of noise, Port Eynon or Three Cliffs if you don't mind a bit of a steep hike to the beach.

Three cliffs is beautiful - if it's windy then stay in the back field as you're a bit more protected there. If it's not windy then you can camp right on the cliff edge and have amazing views.
