Camping in germany

We are considering a camping trip to southern Germany this summer. Can anyone advise on good places to go or good campsites for a family with 2 children aged 5 and 9?

We're going to Grubhof for the second year, it's just inside Austria about 20 minutes from the German border. We loved Austria - there's loads to do. My two (then 5 and 8) loved the Rodelbahn (dry bobsledding), the dinosaur/fossil stuff at the Steinplatte and the salt mine at Hallein. There are swimming lakes everywhere and under 6s go free on most cable cars.
