.....for the first week of the school summer holiday in Carmarthen. The stunning price for the family £77. How great is that?? the owner even runs the odd kids club. Where else can you get a holiday for a week for a family in the summer holidays. camping is just so great!

There is even a cosy little pub on site, with a kids club room.

Bliss. I can't wait!

Sounds good - I can't wait to go myself. We're heading for the hills this time - up to Scotland. Also bliss. Camping en route, taking a few days there and back then staying in a caravan whilst we're there on my friend's farm.

UKcampsite.co.uk is a great site, with searcable reviews and all you could ever need to know about camping. They are very helpful if you have specific questions.

you guys always make me think I want to try camping then my bottle goes

Borrow a tent and the minimum of kit and go for the weekend somewhere close to home. It will not cost much, so if you hate it, bail out and go home.

It is the best holiday that we have with the kids. They get some freedom to be kids and run around. Fresh air, nice scenery and so cheap!

We bought out tent last year and it has already paid for itself. We have 4 holidays last year for less than the cost of one the year before (and that was in a caravan). We saved a thousand pounds on the summer holiday.

yes, its the feeling of freedom and the fact you start the day in a beautiful place straight away without driving anywhere does it for me, go for it!

Go for it, it's fantastic. My DDs are 4 and they much prefered our camping trips to the expensive holiday in Menorca we did last year. They have so much freedom, just cycling round all day and getting mucky. I can't wait until the summer

But I live in the freezing and wet North and I am a wimp
