Spare camping poles

Can anyone help? We have an old two-man from pre-kid days. Great tent, but the elastic inside the poles has given up the ghost and has lost all its stretch. Does anyone know where I could get new tent poles? It's a Marmot Odyssey tent, but a Google search only throws up the tents, not the poles.

Do you actually need new poles or could you just rethread the elastic? Our (brand new) tent had the elastic broken in one pole, so we bought new elastic for it. Actually didn't use the elastic in the end as we still had over half the poles joined, and managed to hold the others together using the natural tension of the tent. It just meant we had to be a bit extra careful when putting up and taking down the tent.

Tried re-threading the elastic but it meant the tent took over an hour to put up as I had to push it back into all the poles. When it's a two-man tent that should take about 10 minutes to put up that's a bit ridiculous!

Might have to use your method tho - poles will still go together obviously, just need to make sure they stay together somehow.

You can buy pole elastic from millets/blacks. it is £5 but that will probably do 2 poles.

Or try your local camping/caravan shop, one of our has a big box of odd poles which you can rumage through and they only charge a couple of pounds.

You should be able to order spare poles as long as you get the length near enough right. I got some poles from them , off their family tent pack, were about 2 inches too long so I used a hacksaw to cut them down, an inch off either end. luckily their poles have a long steel bit at the end so plenty of spare to cut down before you hit the knotted end of elastic.
