and with plenty to do, I have 3 small dc's and a teenager. will be with couple of other mums and various kids. No dads allowed

Not sure if Flower of May take tourers - thats more towards Filey. You can camp on the Brigg but last time we were up there it was pretty crowded & lots of crossing guys which seemed like a bloody fire hazard to me.
