Can anyone reccomend a campsite in the vendee or similar distance from Calais?

We are looking to have our main holiday camping in France next year.

Anyone know of a nice campsite in the vendee, or other area of similar distance from Calais?

Ideally a lively site with plenty going on, a decent pool with slides, a park, a bar and restaurant etc. Basically all singing and dancing.

Preferably walkable distance to a beach or lake with beach.

Guaranteed sunshine a bonus

Have been to la garangeoire before and don't want to go back there.

We go to turkey in august.

we are going to la guyonniere with our tent at the end of August. Not been to the Vendee before but we chose it as it's slightly smaller than many and the pitches are supposed to be huge.

This is a nice site. It is a little bit inland (on the way to La Mothe Achard) but actually much prettier than being on the coast and there are good walks around the campsite. It is only about 15 mins drive to the sea.

Garangeoire was nice but don't want to go somewhere we've already been iyswim.

Anyone been to Sol A Gogo or Le Clarys Plage?

Hi we stayed in a caravan at Le Clarys Plage last year (luckily only for a few nights!) Site itself ok, clean showers and pool good but very noisy and resort area awful.

Camping Les Dunes nr Bretignolles Sur Mer, Vendee is a good site, have you tried Keycamp or Eurocamp sites?

We have just been to Vendee with the Caravan and camping club but we stayed on a quiet site which was near to nearly everything by bike and car. It had most things :- free hot showers, pool, laundrette, fridge hire etc and was called La Treveillere, there were a couple of bigger sites not far away which we noticed.

We stayed at Camping Bel, La Tranche sur Mer.

Lovely campsite, very good for young families, not much for older kids though. Quiet, close to town/beaches, lots of cycle routes - had a lovely time.

We haven't been to Sol a Gogo but we go with Carisma and I know they are also on Sol a Gogo so others we have met had been there and liked it.

It would be too exciting for us (as we are quite boring!) but if you gave the Carisma people a call they would be able to tell you about it as they know their sites quite well (in fact they encouraged us to change to the Jard site when I described what we wanted after booking Sol a Gogo the first time we went, if that makes sense?!)
