Campsite recommendation in central England?

Can anyone recommend a campsite in the middle of England? There is a group of us meeting from different parts of the country, and were thinking of leicestershire / nottinghamshire / oxfordshire / warickshire / midlands / cotsworlds.

Mixed group of young kids and adults without kids so we were wanting somewhere child friendly, with a pub in walking distance, good short and long walks, and maybe near a pretty town / village. Nice pretty countryside is what I really crave beign a city girl.

Ther eare several around Ashbourne this is more Derbyshire way -Callow top has a pool, playground, bar on site. Or have also been to a site near Rutland water too, which was very nice, Cant' remember its name though. Both very pretty and good places to explore with or without children.
