aaarrgghh, bloody weather forecast for france

We're off to France this weekend for a few weeks camping, and the weather forecast for the next 14 day is basically cloudy most days. We are driving down to the vendee and I really thought we would be in for some hot sunshine. I know its not exactly going to be cold but at 18/19deg its not exactly hot for the children in the outdoor pool.

I think I need to rethink our clothes. Please tell me this will be wrong and that its going to be lovely.

Where about's are you going? I had a look in the Saint-Hilaire-la-croix and it didn't look too bad.

We are off next week to Lanquais and are keeping everything crossed for good weather as well

Some of the websites say it will be sunny some miserable. We're going to Southern Brittany on saturday and we are only looking at the cheerful sites

A fleece or two (they wash and dry easy enough), long shorts but a few pairs of welly socks, would take a raincoat anyhow....

We have just got back from the South Vendee. Variable weather - mostly sunny but with some days that rained or were just overcast. Still fairly warm, although the unheated outdoor pool was pretty cold - the kids couldn't stay in that long. Some cracking night time storms (overnight, loads of rain).

We still enjoyed ourselves and the kids were not bothered. Just take a rainmac with you - nowt you can do about the weather.... Accept and make the best of.

Peachy, what site? Southern Brittany is my favourite and my best

But we are off to Charentes-Maritime on Monday in the hopes of hot hot sun. Sadly it looks like the forecast for here - early 20's and the odd bit of rain

Just back from the Vendée and the weather was pretty rubbish BUT we had a great time (despite finding out our tent is not particularly waterproof!).

It's forecast hot from Wednesday onwards I think.
