I'm thinking of getting one for DP for his birthday - anyone got one - any recommendations?
TIA

I don't know about tripods - they do look good - but I have one of these Campfire Grills and am v pleased with it.

There's one here. The only think with tripods - does everything have to be able to hook on to them, or can you hang a flat grill on them and use as a BBQ / put the kettle on it, etc?

I did put a kettle on our campfire grill, also used as BBQ, and cooked in a wok on it.

I have the Rebel model as I was attracted to the BBQ option.
I was impressed at how sturdy and stable it was once I had hammered it in well. I thought it would be very hard to adjust the height or turn the grill away from the fire once it was all ve hot, but it wasn't. (I took a couple of those flat silicone pan holders, purchased in a 99p store - to help, but could have managed with teatowels.

Measure out the size of the grill and see if it woulkd suit you.

We cooked for 3 adults and 4 kids on the rebel.
