Safety when camping; 13yo-wise

DD is going camping (a sort of festival)

The suggestion has been made that she & an older friend (40's) each sleep in a separate 2 man tent; sleep-wise this is a great idea. But is it safe?

What would make it more or less safe?
What rules do I need to impose?

Thinking about putting bells on DD's zip so anyone knows when it is opening but I may be obsessing a bit........

I personally wouldn't have a problem with my 13yo going camping in this way, so long as you know the 40yr old very well and know that she will be supervised. But if you are stressing that much why can she not share a 'bedroom' with the friend?

What I mean is get a bigger 2 man tent!

It would be completely safe.
DS, 10, sleeps in his own small tent.
You can hear everything when camping.
When have you EVER heard of any bad happenings on a campsite?
Ony safety rules involve common sense - never ever light a flame in the tent.
