I really want a pop-up tent .. AIBU to buy one in secret?

DH says no to a pop-up tent,as we already have a mahoosive Vango, as well as a couple of 2-man tents, and a 5-man Easycamp. BUT, I would like to go with the DCs on my own sometimes, and the big tent is too hard to put up without him, the 5-man is fiddly and exasperating and the 2-mans (men?) aren't big enough.

Tell me how much I need the Quechua Base Seconds 4.2 please.

Why is buying tents so exciting?? And buying them illicitly even more so for some reason. I foresee a spell in tent rehab for me before long. (And I hope it's an Outwell Bear Lake ... )
