Campsite recommendations: Somewhere near Cardigan or Tenby or somewhere lovely nearish to that.

Anyone recommend a campsite for the summer holidays in Wales Pembrokeshire near the coast? We prefer a smaller site but if it had an outdoor pool or river that may be a bonus.

This is a lovely seaside town, about 30 mins from cardigan, so mins near Aberystwyth, 15 mins from the beautiful New Quay. I grew up in this town, it is so pretty! Hive on the Quay does beautiful honey icecream too! It's 'famous' for it. Up at the school there is a small swimming pool. Some nice play parks around too. Note sure what site is like, but it will have amazing views!

Or you couls stay in New Quay itself, lovely sandy beaches, so so cute. Aberaeron has rocky beaches.

Meadow house nr saunders foot is lovely, it is a 10 minute steep walk to a lovely beach, has a lovely indoor pool and small childrens play area, we loved it but we did go in term time so it was quiet.

It is part of a small chain called celtic parks, they have 3 parks I think and they all look nice but we like to walk to the beach so went for this one.

If you want wild try porth clais nr St Davids, its beautiful with amazing views but pitch by a hedge cos it gets a bit breezy up there on the cliff.

Manorbir Country Park is a really lovely site, it's got parks, arcade, indoor pool, some evening entertainment, (if you want it) and it's just near to Tenby.

The nearest campsite to Tenby is Meadow farm, it is on a hill just by the town - fantastic views over the sea and coastline! lovely original campsite. The facilities are rather basic, six toilets and two showers, but it is a small site, and you are a short walk into town for any shopping. Beautiful setting and close to the beach, and friendly owners. We love it, have been there a few times.
