Was just in my local Aldi to get an electric coolbox which someone on here mentioned for £34.99. Looks really good - 30litre with mains and car adaptor, 3 year warranty and tall enough for wine! I also noticed elsewhere in the store they had a 3 plug EHU adaptor for £39.99. Both by the same supplier (Adventuridge).

Just thought I would pass on the info :)

Complete necessity in Spring & Summer! Make sure you always have a spare fuse with you and a way to change it. Ours is too powerful for the connector so the fuse has blown a few times. (I love camping gear! The GoOutdoors catalogue is my porn Grin)

Hi. I know this is an old thread but just wondering how the coolbox is? I have just got one today from Aldi.

I've bought one too thanks to this thread! Seems noisy on max but okay eco. Doesn't seem like it keeps thing massively cool in hot weather but I guess you could supplement with ice blocks too.

I have the camping gas camping chef version of the cooker and it is fab. You need a large calor gas bottle and connector hose which seems expensive at the time but lasts for ages. Last thing I cooked on it was a big spanish omelette for breakfast with left over cooked tats from the night before- used the grill to finish the top and bubble the cheese! Felt very decadent!

I use the cooker on this low table Kampa table which fits it well and keeps it off the floor and I cook outside sitting in my camping chair. I would like a stand but the low table it is a safe height should it get knocked over.

I tested mine with a fridge thermometer and on max it does go to the correct temperature (well . . . today it did any-way!).

Think I will get mine cold before I leave and then plug in asap.

We are only going 10 minutes up the road so I think it should stay cold in that time!! lol x

DD (6) asleep on her bedroom bedroom floor in her new Aldi SIM and sleeping bag, head torch beside her Grin

Shiraz - is it a kids sleeping bag or adults?
I just got my 2 dc's a pop up tent & looking for cheap sleeping bags

shirazplease · 03/06/2013 21:27

It's an adults one. I'm hoping to get a few years use out of it still, and she's also pretty tall for 6 so think a kids one would have been too small by next year
